Flow testing can consume a significant amount of time if the equipment & software you use are not designed to speed up and simplify the process. That’s time a busy head porter could be spending porting heads.

If you port cylinder heads on a professional level, what’s helpful is an Airflow Management System that helps you to be more efficient. That was one of the top priorities when our software was being designed.

Having used other digital manometers for the last 9 years and even having gone to the extent of designing my own Excel based software, the limitations became clear as to what I could develop in terms of software tools. I needed my own hardware that gave me full access to the source code for the hardware in order to advance my software. I also wanted it to be a stand alone application, independent of of Excel.

One of my customers whom I became good friends with just happened to be an electrical engineer. Enter Dave D’ Amato into the picture. Dave and I had a telephone discussion in December of 2013. I laid out my goal and Dave quickly grasped the concepts and set about designing a prototype digital manometer while I began coding the software. Dave was the right choice for a partner. He’s detail oriented and easy to work with and knows electronics.

The CDDAMS software has been designed to be simple to use while reducing the time required to capture, analyze, store and create reports on the data. While your flow testing, you’re not porting. When your not porting, work is backing up and you’re not producing income or making customers happy.

Flow testing is only a portion of the process a head porting shop needs to accomplish. It should not consume more time than required because the software is inadequate, difficult to understand or just plain clumsy to work with. It should be fast, accurate, easy to use.

The “BlueBox” is designed to be pretty, durable and almost completely position independent where mounting is concerned. You can mount our box in any position except upside down. The hose connections are durable steel fittings in an anodized aluminum case. It looks and feels like something from the days when Made In America stood for Quality and Value, combined together.

There are cheaper products on the market and there are more expensive products on the market. We fall in between in pricing while our total package leans toward the more advanced, more expensive models and the user interface is simple, effective, intuitive.
